D Smoke - Black Habits Album Review (Overview + Rating)

Yes, the Kendrick Lamar similarities that you've heard about are there, but D Smoke does enough to showcase himself as a legit artist with smooth production choices & thought-provoking content. 3.5/5 Click the following link to subscribe to my channel for more podcast episodes, hip-hop news & reviews! - http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=lukejamesbgn - And don't forget to like, comment AND follow me on Twitter & IG @lukejamesbgn (or at least do one of those things)!

FAVORITE TRACKS: Bullies, No Commas, Top Of The Morning, Sunkissed Child, Black Habits I & II

LEAST FAVORITE TRACKS: Fly

STRENGTHS: 1) D Smoke has great flows and brings some versatility through different cadences & singing vocals as well. 2) The features fit in nicely. 3) If you like smooth hip-hop with meaningful content & topics you'll probably enjoy this!

WEAKNESSES: 1) The Kendrick Lamar similarities will likely be a continuous, annoying topic of discussion & critique for him. 2) The album does get a bit draggy in spots, more so on the second half which is weaker than the first.
